BACKGROUND

Fraserburgh is set to welcome its largest retail development ever as Colaren Homes announces plans for a major new shopping destination at Colaren Quays Retail Park located on South Harbour Road in Fraserburgh.

The proposed development - set to be lodged for planning permission in the coming months - will feature leading national retailers Aldi and B&M, alongside a drive-thru restaurant and a dedicated food/coffee takeaway unit.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2026 with the scheme delivering a significant boost to the local economy.

Creating over 100 new jobs, Colaren Quays represents a major step forward for economic growth and retail offering in Fraserburgh. Its strategic location provides excellent connectivity into the town centre, enhancing accessibility for residents and visitors alike.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION

Colaren Homes will be hosting a drop-in public exhibition event at the Scottish White Fish Producers Association (Kinnaird House, South Harbour Road, Fraserburgh, AB43 9TA) on Thursday 20th November 2025 from 2-7pm. The event is open to everyone and will offer an opportunity for the public to view the plans for Colaren Quays Retail Park, ask questions to members of the project team, and provide any feedback on the development proposals.
